Playground Development Group
The Playground Development Group is a parent/teacher group originally established to develop the grounds in the old school and has continued to try to work with Amey, the school’s facilities management company, to develop and enhance the playground for the benefit of all pupils.
We raise funds at the May Fair plant stall, with bulb sales, the “100 Club” (details below), and by applying successfully for grants.
Recent developments include purchasing a pavilion for the Environmental Garden and financing painted cycle lines in the upper school playground for Cycle Safety Training. We also provide growing materials for teachers to include horticulture in their lessons.
Approximately once per term we have “worksquad mornings/evenings” to enhance the Environmental Garden. We could do more for the children’s benefit if we had more volunteers- grandparents are gratefully accepted!
If you would like to help, please contact Miss Buckle at the school (441 3649) or Audrey Timmins (441 2711)
100 Club Monthly Draw
The “100 Club” is a monthly draw to raise funds for the PDG. It costs £1 per month and winning numbers are drawn at the PDG meetings. The winning number receives half the income for that month and the other half goes towards PDG funds. These funds are used to improve the playground environment. If you would like to join the draw please complete the form below and return to Miss Buckle at the school.
